Now I was lost sin was eating at my heart
Torn apart by good and evil ladder was winning my thoughts
And I sought worldly things to make the pain go away

I lost my way and came back I'm the prodigal son
I trust God even though I don't know what's next to come
I fear the world and unknown I fear being alone
Cause all my life I thought I was just on my own
And I learned from bad examples what's right vs wrong
And so I'm trying to change my thoughts from the examples I've been shown
But it's hard cause I'm a sinner and stubborn I don't like to change
And I want to feel better right now I don't like the pain
But the way I feel now vs then is just not the same
